In recent years, this method has gained a lot of popularity for weight loss, with research reports showing that intermittent fasting can help fight inflammation while leading a healthier life.۔

2 methods of intermittent fasting are quite common۔

One method involves feeding throughout the day within 8 to 10 hours, while the other method uses only one meal per day, 2 days a week, which helps burn body fat.۔

According to research published in the journal Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, this dietary regimen may also help prevent diabetes.

Type 2 diabetes doesn't necessarily stay with you for life, but patients can get rid of it by losing weight through diet and exercise, the researchers said.

In this study, 36 people affected by diabetes were included and instructed to adopt intermittent fasting for 3 months.۔

The results showed that adopting this dietary strategy reduced the need for diabetes medication for 90 percent of people.

Of these, 55 percent recovered from diabetes and maintained healthy blood sugar levels after a year of medication.۔

Most of the people involved in the study had been diagnosed with diabetes for 6 to 11 years, but with this method, they were able to get rid of the disease.

Diabetes medications are expensive and the disease is difficult to control for most people, the researchers said
